One of the reasons Nordic skiing has never gained the popularity in North America that it enjoys in Scandinavia and Central Europe, is our lack of trails which were designed especially for skiing. Until recently, most North American Nordic enthusiasts have struggled across windblown golf courses, or tackled the endless climbs, and white knuckle descents of former logging roads.

Cross country skiing on trails built specifically for the sport is quite simply, a different experience. During the past fifteen years, I have learned how to create trails which emphasize the exhilarating aspects of Nordic skiing, while minimizing the more strenuous segments. And trails which are well designed for Nordic skiing are also safe and enjoyable for other sports including snowshoeing, cross country running, mountain biking, hiking and equestrian events.
